Socially Responsible Investing (SRI)

At HSBC Global Asset Management, we believe that sustainable responsible investing can be correlated with attractive market returns. It is an investment philosophy voluntarily adopted by those who are willing to invest over the long term, and who share a strong conviction about the beneficial role sustainability can play in financial markets. Our SRI funds encompass many asset classes in both developed and emerging markets and are designed to appeal to a wide range of institutional clients.

We are perpetually seeking to broaden the scope of our SRI offerings. To this end, we have created a Global SRI Centre of Excellence with a view to supporting an expanding product range. As early as 2005, we entered the Brazilian SRI market through the launch of a fund based on the Bovespa Sustainability Index - the first SRI benchmark to be recognized in South America. With Brazil only now being hailed as one of the emerging economic forces of the mid 21st century, our role as a pioneer of the SRI movement is clearly in evidence through our early involvement in Latin America.

Those that share our strong belief in the importance of SRI, both as a philosophy and as a potentially lucrative source of investment returns, will find an ideal partner in HSBC Global Asset Management.
